About Appointments

When you arrive at our Consulting Rooms (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) for your appointment, you will be greeted by our friendly staff and asked your name. Once you have been registered on our list we will then request your x-ray (OPG) and your referral from your referring dentist or GP. In some cases the referring Surgeon has already sent this information to us directly and we have that recorded in your notes. All new patients must then fill in a two-sided form, which requires personal and medical information; this information is all kept strictly confidential and is entered into the computer system.

You will then be introduced to your Surgeon who will inform you of the recommended treatment required for your particular situation. This will be discussed during your consultation. Once a treatment course is determined by your Surgeon and yourself, a decision is made whether you will require a Local Anaesthetic, General Anaesthetic or IV Sedation. Your personal information will be forwarded to the Canberra Surgicentre to book in for surgery and you will receive a written quote for estimation of costs. You will be asked to settle your account with Mofs Pty Ltd at the end of your consultation.
